Vista and Older Network compatibility

So far I've got 3 suggestions that help with networking issues and older hardware:

1)  Disable the DHCP Broadcast Flag by using the instructions here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/928233
2)  Disable IPv6 in the properties of the network connection
3)  Disable the IPHelper service in services.msc

Some other thoughts:
- disable any 6to4 or IPSNAT (unsure of the correct spelling) type network devices listed in device manager.  They're (as I recall) associated with translation between IPv4 and IPv6
